BMI Donates €9,000 to St. Marien Children’s Hospital for the Acquisition of a Special Device
Landshut, February 17, 2022. For the smallest patients, a children’s hospital often requires specialized equipment. One such device is a bronchoscope, used for gentle and targeted examinations of newborns with respiratory problems. With this year’s donation of €9,000, Bayerische Milchindustrie eG (BMI) is helping St. Marien Children’s Hospital in Landshut acquire this crucial examination device.
Adhering to hygiene and social distancing rules, Dr. Thomas Obersojer and Winfried Meier, members of the BMI eG Executive Board, presented the donation check to Anneliese Huber and Susanne Götz from the Association of Friends and Sponsors of St. Marien Children’s Hospital e. V.
“When the youngest ones struggle to breathe, it’s vital that doctors can pinpoint the cause as effectively as possible. We are delighted to be able to help equip St. Marien Children’s Hospital with this special device,” explained CEO Dr. Thomas Obersojer during the handover. BMI has supported the children’s hospital for many years, foregoing Christmas gifts from suppliers in favor of this charitable cause.
