We are a medium-sized, cooperative dairy with over 70 years of tradition and decades of international experience. As a specialist in innovative ingredients and high-quality cheese products – preferably organic – we are a global market leader in organic whey derivatives and one of Germany’s largest processors of liquid whey. Ingredients

In 1953, our cooperative was one of the first manufacturers in the field of dry products. Today, as a (organic) pioneer and the world’s largest supplier of organic whey derivatives, we stand for responsibly produced and processed ingredients.

  • Our quality standards are based not only on German, European, and international regulations, but also on specific country regulations for organic products.

BMi is undergoing a comprehensive transformation process. As a company rich in tradition, it’s essential for us to move with the times and keep global developments in mind. The BMi Strategy 2030 focuses on sustainability and digitalization: We aim for a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 (compared to 2021) and are consistently digitalizing all company divisions.

With a focus on innovative ingredients and high-quality cheese products, we invest in new technologies and business areas while continuously developing existing ones – one example is the Masterplan Ingredients (MPI) project at our Zapfendorf site.
