Our offerings are characterized by an extensive product range, many years of experience, and the highest standards.
Our core expertise lies in producing high-quality whey derivatives, primarily lactose and WPC80, which are used globally in baby food and sports nutrition.
Additionally, we offer a wide range of other powdered ingredients used in various food industry applications.
Whether as a basic ingredient or a refined specialty solution, our products stand for quality, safety, and superior functionality, developed for the individual requirements of our industrial customers.
Our strength is diversity: A second important business segment includes selected cheese varieties such as hard and semi-hard cheeses, as well as mozzarella. These are sold under the Paladin brand or as private label products, primarily in European food retail, or specifically used for particular applications in the food sector.
Production takes place at modernly equipped sites, certified according to internationally recognized standards such as FSSC 22.000 for our ingredients plants in Jessen, Zapfendorf, Peiting, and Winzer. Our cheese dairies in Jessen and Windsbach meet the highest product safety requirements with the IFS (International Featured Standard).
Solutions for the highest customer demands:
Our cooperative is the world’s leading provider of organic whey derivatives and one of Germany’s largest processors of liquid whey.
Around 60,000 tons of cheese leave our cheese production facilities every year – and this trend is increasing.
As part of our innovation agenda, we’re focused on the future-oriented development and refinement of our cheese and whey products, along with their derivatives. Our core focus is on functional improvements and creating first-class products that meet the highest standards. With our ambitious construction project in Zapfendorf (Masterplan Ingredients), we’re creating the necessary conditions to bring innovative products to market readiness using cutting-edge technology and highly developed process engineering.
We’ve also made significant progress in developing potato-based ingredients, working closely with our customers to bring them to market. Additionally, we’re opening up new business areas with technology development in precision fermentation. In these forward-looking areas, we rely on trusting partnerships with specialized experts – a crucial key to our success. Together, we are shaping the future of functional ingredients – with innovation, quality, and foresight.
Progress
Our producers are primarily responsible for the high quality of our raw materials. These are around 250 dairy farms, mainly from Saxony-Anhalt, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Brandenburg, Saxony, and Bavaria. Among them are family-run businesses and very large agricultural enterprises, conventionally managed farms and organic farmers, specialists and generalists.
All of our dairy producers operate according to the VLOG standard (Verband Lebensmittel ohne Gentechnik – Association Food without Genetic Engineering), meaning they produce milk without the use of genetically modified feed. The raw material is processed in our BMi plants, which are also certified according to the VLOG standard.
